Runescape Barrows Sets

The Runescape Barrows lurk on many secrets such as the awesome Barrows armour and weapons. There are 6 different RS Barrow sets, each of which contains three armour pieces and one weapon. When all four parts are equipped a set specific bonus modifier is activated. The 6 different Runescape Barrows sets are named after their owners, the infamous Barrows brothers, who are jealously guarding their precious armour and weapons down in the murky barrows. There is Guthan the Infested, Dharok the Wretched, Verac the Defiled, Karil the Tainted, Torag the Corrupted and Ahrim the Blighted. In Runescape jargon the barrows sets are referred to as full Guthans including Guthans spear; full Dharoks including Dharoks axe; full Veracs including Veracs flail; full Karils including Karils crossbow; full Torags including Torags hammers and full Ahrims including Ahrims staff. The modifiers of the Runescape Barrows sets are in a class of their own with emphasis on the defence which is nothing short of insane. Guthan is considered the best set by many and it is standard equipment for completing many hard tasks such as the Fire Cape mini-game and the Desert Treasure quest. Dharok is the second most popular set, followed by Verac, Karil, Torag & Ahrim in that particular order. However, there are a few downsides to the sets as well such as the high requirements, the armor decay which requires expensive repairs and the Runescape Barrows mini-game itself which can be quite difficult to complete. Furthermore, each instance will only give a single Barrows drop, be it an armour piece or a weapon. Fortunately the sets can be bought from other players. There is also a pair of gloves in the game which are generally known as Barrows gloves but they are not of Barrows origin. They simply happen to look like Barrows armour but they their real name is only "gloves". They are untradeable and can only be obtained from the Culinaromancer's chest after having completed the Recipe For Disaster quest.
